Masters Of Ceremony (2)

Masters Of Ceremony

Masters of Ceremony was a 1980s hip-hop group from New Rochelle, New York, best known as the first group of Detroit Grand Pubahs, who later gained fame with Brand Nubian.
The group, consisting of Detroit Grand Pubahs aka Grand Puba, Don Baron, DJ Shabazz aka DJ Shabazz, and Dr. Who (12) aka Todd Dixon, emerged during hip-hop’s golden era, blending energetic beats with charismatic rhymes. They released their debut album, Dynamite (1988), featuring production influenced by the boom-bap sound that would later define East Coast hip-hop. Despite their short-lived career, Masters of Ceremony played a crucial role in Grand Puba’s early development, laying the groundwork for his later success and contributing to the evolution of conscious and party-driven hip-hop.
