Chris Stone
British guitarist and singer-songwriter. Stone's parents had emigrated to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) when he was young. He was the lead guitarist of a group called The Phantoms in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and relocated back to England in the mid 1960s. In 1967, he joined The Shake Spears, replacing Perry Jordaan. After the group split up in the late 1960s, Stone joined Alan Escombe-Wolhuter, Mick Fowler, and Mick Carter in the prog rock group Fynn McCool. He later worked for Decca.
