Rafael Ferrer

Spanish composer and conductor, born in Sant Celoni (1911), died in Barcelona (1988). In the 1950s, he conducted Orquesta Sinfónica Española in some zarzuela recordings made in Barcelona by [l=Regal]. Founder of [a=Cobla Laietana]. From 1962 to 1967 he was chief conductor of "Orquestra Municipal de Barcelona" (later known as and finally ). Conductor of Spain's first Eurovision entry, 'Estando contigo' by [a=Conchita Bautista] (1961). Sometimes he used as alias.
