Prince Paul (real name: Paul Edward Huston) is an American hip-hop producer and DJ, born on April 2, 1967, in Amityville, New York. A pioneer of innovative and experimental production, he was the mastermind behind De La Soul’s groundbreaking debut 3 Feet High and Rising (1989) and has worked with artists like Stetsasonic, Gravediggaz, and Handsome Boy Modeling School. Known for his eclectic sampling and humor-infused style, Prince Paul has remained a highly influential figure in hip-hop production.
