The Dictators NYC

Not to be confused with [a=The Dictators].

Rock band from New York City originally called "Manitoba" featuring three former members of [a=The Dictators] ([a=Handsome Dick Manitoba], [a=J.P. "Thunderbolt" Patterson] and [a=Ross Friedman]). In 2013 they changed their name to "The Dictators", but due to a legal dispute with former band members over ownership of the name, they changed their name to "The Dictators NYC" in an effort to distinguish themselves from the original [a=The Dictators]. They released one 7" under the name in 2015 before announcing on their website on July 10, 2017 that they were changing their name to "Manitoba NYC".
