Real Name: Sandy Carriello & Luis Deschamps

[i]Sandy & Papo MC[/i], [i]Sandy MC & MC Papo[/i] or simply, [i]Sandy & Papo[/i]; was the dynamic duo of Latin House Merengue. The group formed in 1995 in New York by Sandy Carriello "Sandy MC" and Luis Deschamps "MC Papo", both from the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The duo was created by Nelson Zapata and Pavel De Jesus, after attending an audition for .

The group was part of the merenhouse fever, house-merengue or merengue-hip hop, rhythm emerged in New York to the Dominican merengue fused with elements of hip hop, house and other dance genres. They were part of this movement of other latin house merengue groups as , , & amongst others.

Sandy MC & MC Papo performed a version of the popular merenhouse now classic "Mueve, Mueve (I Like To Move It)". They were also the creators of the song "Huelepega" that served to promote the Venezuelan film of the same name, directed by Elia Schneider.

The group came to an end when the July 11, 1999 Luis Deschamps (MC Papo) died in a car accident Sandy MC went solo and released the album [r6973990], in homage tribute to his fallen compadré.
