Real Name: Roger Pemberton

American jazz saxophonist, arranger, composer, and educator originally from Evansville, Indiana.
Born 17 October 1930 in Evansville, Indiana and died 7 January 2021 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Best-known as a mainstay of the Chicago jazz and recording scenes of the 1970's and later. He had played with Buddy Morrow, Woody Herman, and Maynard Ferguson and had a stint with Merv Griffin's television show band before moving to Chicago in 1972.
