Bengston

Bengston is one of Switzerland’s busiest breakbeat movers. He travels the country and Europe since 1998 to play his own blend of proggy, bassheavy breakbeat finery. In 2001 he has set up Ritmic Records, Switzerlands first and only midtempo Breaks label besides playing out in places like Amsterdam, Berlin, Gotheborg, Nürnberg, Frankfurt, Brussels or Grellingen (..). During the last couple of years he has supported many top acts on their gigs in Switzerland such as Aquasky, Hyper, Rennie Pilgrem, Phantom Beats, Future Funk Squad or Drumattic Twins. His latest project is a community site under the address www.breakbeats.ch where the Swiss breaks community meets and exchanges ideas and thoughts. His Ritmic Records label has gone from strenght to strenght with quality releases and support from the likes of Jody Wisternoff, Annie Nightinhale, Orbital or the Plump DJ’s to name but the most profilic ones.
