Bruce Lundvall

He began his music career in marketing at in 1960 where he remained for 21 years, becoming President of the domestic division of in 1976. He then moved to in 1982, where he became President of Elektra Records and the newly created jazz label. In 1984, he was approached with an offer to create , a pop music label based on the East Coast for , as well as reviving the suspended jazz label. Signed twice, to Columbia in the early-1980s and then Blue Note in the early 2000s. Ceased being president of Blue Note in 2010.
