José Iturbi
Real Name: José Iturbi Báguena
José Iturbi (28 November 1895 in Valencia, Spain – 28 June 1980, Los Angeles) was a Spanish conductor and pianist of Basque descent. He studied with [a=Wanda Landowska] and made his American debut in New York City in 1929, he also appeared in several Hollywood films of the 1940s. He often appeared in concert with his sister [a=Amparo Iturbi], who was also a renowned pianist.
